I’ve added an icon for Bluesky to my social icons in the footer on this site. But I am not actually on Bluesky, and don’t plan to be.

I am, however, now following the bridge account that lets Bluesky users talk to Mastodon, and vice versa.

So Bluesky users, you should be able to follow me at:

If you’d like me to be able to follow you, what you need to do is also follow the Bridgy Fed bot. Bridgy Fed does the heavy lifting of letting Bluesky and Mastodon talk to each other, so all you have to do is just follow the bot. You can find it here:

Following Bridgy Fed will make a version of your Bluesky address that I can then follow on my Mastodon account. As of this writing, I’ve had several people successfully follow my Mastodon account via Bluesky, using this method!
