(Con't from Part 1.) Nobody here but us bushes. Honest! A perfectly innocent looking line of bushes... _Ah, fardlin' hells,_ Solo thinks dizzily, ducking his head down in instinctive reaction to the explosion. He thinks he might recognize Kuxli's voice... but then again... it's getting harder for him to think, and old habits, particularly old habits involved with avoiding a) law enforcement, and b) bounty hunting Rodians, die hard. Shannon realizing for the first time that she did indeed here a blaster go off, once maybe twice? Dying? People dying while she's around? Instead of asking what her employee has gotten into she asks herself just what she's getting herself into. She holds a finger up, "I think I'll be leaving now". She rises up from her place within the bushes, she takes a moment to glance back where she'd seen Han disappear, seeing him no longer she calls out into the vegetation, "Consider yourself fired Mr. Solo" only to turn around and find the doors sealing off. She sits back down onto the ground and mutters, 'wonderful, just wonderful'. Kuxli shoves the comlink back down onto his belt as he leans down towards the bushes, ears falling flat against his head as the sirens sound. "Give it up now!" he orders in a loud roar, about the same he rockets his free paw into the bushes where Shannon was laying, probing about for anything there. Lughat hearing the alarms, smiles. none of this will affect MS. Bryant... Lughat runs lightly to the fountain making sure no one escapes that way again Shannon watches as the Horasni beats around into the vegetations, she waves it off, "He's no longer in there, he moved away long before you go here". She shakes her head and grabs a tuff of grass and yanks on it as if it's the only thing around to take her frustrations out on. Checking her chorometer she sighs as she thinks oO (Great, late for my next appointmen. What else can go wrong today?) Lughat calls out so the other rodian can hear and says, "oaol wap zenta ooota gweelo ooja? ooal ooota bretz wap tweel ooota oaol ooja wroota sarwra queedo wap zenta ooota voleepa", in Rodian. His head is, whether he likes it or not, spinning. Biting back a groan, Solo presses his face down into the turf, unwilling to reveal himself, and increadingly unwilling to move. One hand still locked around his blaster, and the roars of the Horansi Marine blurring in his ears, the Corellian loses his grip on his consciousness, going even more silent than before in his hiding place. Shannon sighs softly to herself resigned to the effect that she's probably going to be spending more time here in the dirt then she likes. She simply sits in place unmoving ripping small tuffs free from the ground until the doors open up and she's free to go, not really happy with being such a fool to have been sucked into this situation and now having to deal with it's consequences. The Rodian watches the plume of red gas ignite and knock Saul back where he lies motionless. Happy that no one could have survived that he makes his way forward slowly. He then sees a head poking above the brush in front of him. He can't make it out, but assumes it must be either a witness or police, either way he can't let it survive. He aims carefully and then lets one thin red blast out of his gun. The blast travels at due speed towards Kuxli where it impacts. Time slows down for Kuxli as things begin to fade.. slowly slowly slowly. He is knocked clean out before he hits the ground with a thud. Lughat orients on the source of the blast that shot Kuxli, and fires a two-round burst, the blue waves of stun bolts coloring the foliage in violent beauty. The first, merely a gauge, strikes a tree but sheds enough light to glint off his targets bulbous orbs. The second connects, but before he can tell if it was true, Lughat shouts over his shoulder at the woman, pointing at Kuxli's comlink in his unconscious hand and says, "Get op medic here! A medic!", in Basic. A blackened wisp of smoke swirls up from the top of Kuxli's chestplate where the bolt burned throw, his left paw is held open on the garden floor, the comlink there. One leg is drawn in with knee up in the air, head turned to the side as he short-furred snout rests on the ground. Shannon blinks at the Rodian and follows his hand to where he points. She snaps her chin back, "Me?" she points at herself. A medic? She looks closer at Kuxli, noting the smoke wisps rising. She crinkles her nose up not sure if she's really wanting to get too close in case there's any....*gulp* blood. But instinct to help takes over and she forces herself to rise and move to Kuxli's location. Hesitantly reaching out she activates the commlink and calls for help speaking into the commlink, "Umm, we need help here. People have been shot in the Gardens, can you send a medic?" she keeps her finger on the commlink not realizing she needs to release it for anyone to respond. Everything goes grey, and almost black, for Han Solo -- for about ten seconds. The knowledge that he can't faint, not here, not now, begins to drag him back; the sounds of further exchanges of fire bring him back all the way. Grimacing, Solo lifts his head from the turf, squinting blearily out from his hiding place and trying to get an eye on what's happening. _Ah hells.._ Lughat leaps through the shrubbery to his quarry to subdue him Saul is still out cold laying his head on a rock a small trail of extremely dark blood heading down the rocks side. The handle of his blaster remains in his hand however parts of it can be seen in a ten foot radius. He is slightly hidden amongst the brush, but any perceptive being can see him. Shannon taps on the commlink and speaks into it, "Hello, anyone there? Hello?" She finally releases it and glances up at Lughat, "No answer it seems"...about that time a voice penetrates out the comm stating emergency team is on it's way and asking who's on the comm. Lughat leaps upon the Rodian, rolls him over, onto his stomach with the fallen foe's arms pinned underneath him. There's an audible change in hum as the blaster clicks from stun to kill Kuxli starts to cough as he lays on the ground, his bent leg slowly straightening out. Unknowing to all going around him, only an empty black void in his mind... though his chest does rise and fall with each quick breath. Lughat gingerly places the business end of the blaster at the back of the Rodian’s spiny head. There is no struggling but He will take no chances until security gets here The odor of burnt plastic filling her nose a bit, she crinkles it up with repulsion. She leans over the comm forgetting to activate it, "This is Shannon Dellious..." she then realizes it and curses slightly before reaching up to activate it and again repeats, "This is Shannon Dellious, we are locked in the garden and people need help here, can you hurry please?" she lets go this time and sits back waving a hand in front of her nose glancing down at the wounded man as he starts coughing. oO(Well this one's still alive for the moment it seems). Lughat says, "vinnta nree! weena kij mionos tarra?!", in Rodian. The securities klaxons suddenly cut off as the sealed blast doors slide slowly upwards to open. Not even waiting for them fully rise a squad of blaster wielding station security officers charge in, followed along by a trio of medics, carrying field equipment and hover-beds tagging along. The crackle of Shannon's comm, the noise of Lughat tackling the other Rodian -- and that shout out of his name, makes Solo scowl, mind racing. _General Solo_ -- all this tells him is that this other Rodian is aware of his connections with the Rebellion. _It ain't like that ain't knowledge up for the grabbing... ah hells!_ He flattens down again as the guards arrive on the scene, not quite ready to move. Yet. Lughat waves security to him and hands over the Rodian to them and starts searching for (Saul) the other man Shannon rises to her feet as security and medics filter in, she waves the medics over to where the wounded Kuxli lays and points to him, "Over here, this one's been hurt. I think there's some others over there as well" pointing in the direction she heard an explosion, which happens to be the way Lughat is heading. Her eyes glance around into the vegetation in hopes of catching another glimpse of that familiar blue jacket, but today, her luck isn't with her. Too much is going on around distracting her attention away. Hazel eyes narrowed, Solo latches onto Shannon's call, and freezes. If they're coming for the Horansi, they'll be within view of his hiding place -- and although he can hear the tramp of many feet now, Solo isn't quite eager yet to let that Rodian know he's injured. Lughat ,pointing the blaster at the ground but ready, surveys the man's situation, not knowing whether to call security a medic, or leave him Two of the squad members rush over towards where Lughat stands over the 'caught' Rodian, their stun pistols pointing between the two. "What’s going on here?" one demands. The other two march over towards Shannon as she speaks, one of the medics following, before noticing the wounded Horansi Marine. "Get me a hover-bed!" he hollers out to the nearby guards. It takes a few moments for the other medics to spot Saul, both rushing over with a hover-bed already handy. Lughat with disgust tells security about the firefight at the bar(omitting solo) and about the Rodian shooting Kuxli and says, "vinnta vwan dol kij. meeka' twage changa' kij meeka", in Rodian. Saul slowly wakes up, eyes adjusting to the images they are being fed. He leans up looking down at his right hand and the handle of his bowcaster realizing what happened. He turns onto his knees, eyes level with the brush. He looks about him and moves over to a set of underbrush that almost completely conceals him. There he stays looking for a place to mount a counter-attack on the Rodian thinking him still alive. Sinjon_Teague follows the medics into the atrium, the alarms still blaring and adding to the confusion. He surveys the scene before him. Lughat tries to break away from security's questions and strides over to the woman, searching for any sign of Solo, but trying not to LOOK like he's looking and says, "guoor changa oota, vinnta'?", in Rodian. Shannon steps out of the way as the medics go to work on Kuxli. She tries brushing some of the dirt from her clothing and gives up after a time thinking it's useless and that this particular outfit is probably ruined. Her eyes glance up to the domed ceiling as she heaves a heavy sigh of annoyance with the whole situation. She glances at Lughat as he addresses her in his tongue. She simply smiles at him and blinks stating, "Pardon?" Lughat says, "vurm me...Are you a, wow'?", in Basic. The two meds who were moving to help Saul blink as he seems to have left the place where they last saw him, standing there with a dumb expression on their face. The younger of the guards nodding to Lughat's explanation, "Very well." he says as Lughat moves to leave, at once leaning over to bind the Rodian (The NPC one). The guard who were near Shannon grab a hover-bed and push it over towards Kuxli as the medic near start to pry off the armor from the Horansi. Lughat , as much as it's possible for his impassive face, looks concerned Situation under control...? Sure. Got _everything_ under control. Solo smiles narrowly, ignoring the slight haze on his vision, and keeps dead still as he watches the medics tending the fallen Kuxli... by then, he _does_ recognize the Horansi, and a pang of sheepishness twinges in him. _Chewie's friend. Hells...._ Shannon thinks to herself oO (Good lord, I'm fluent in half the languages in this corner of the universe and it figures this man speaks one of the only languages I don't know), she can't help but chuckle to herself at the irony. She looks to Luhgat once more and shrugs, "I'm sorry, but I still didn't understand what you are asking." Lughat nods and gestures as if to say'Anything broken?' Lughat says, "do you speak duros?", in Duros. Sinjon_Teague starts out of his appraisal of the scene as if finally noticing the figures running about. He walks over towards the fallen form of Kuxli. He tenses a bit at the Rodian figure nearby, his eyes dilate a bit and his nostrils flare. He kneels beside Kuxli nodding to Shannon momentarily still scanning the foliage. "Can I be of some assistance Ma'am?" Kuxli's chestplate comes off from him as the medic finds the right straps, the smell of burned flesh and fur slipping out. The medic reaches into his pack, and glances up in time to notice the other dumbfounded medics looking for Saul. He waves them over quickly for help, nodding in approval as one guard returns with a hover-bed. "Here's the stretcher Dr.Tirrsk." The now named Tirrsk grabs a bandage from his kit, starting to cover the Horansi’s wound. Saul looks around him slowly as to not make a sound. He spots his practice area several feet behind him and a little to the right. He considers for a moment, then decides quickly that this is his best chance to escape... the auxiliary spill-vent. His eyes then turn back to the people near him, looking for the time to make a run for it. Shannon looks somewhat perplexed at the gestures Lughat is making. She reaches up and scratches her chin slightly trying to figure it out. She simply stares at him blankly until he resorts to a language she's familiar with. She smiles, "Of course" she says to Lughat just as Sinjon approaches. Momentarily distracted she glances towards Sinjon and smiles, "I think I'm fine, thankyou" thinking that maybe he was asking about her health, knowing she may look just a wee bit disheveled. Lughat smiles. _Him?!_ Solo picks out a new Horansi voice in the general hubbub now, and his thoughts jump slightly off-course as he recognizes, or thinks he does, Sinjon Teague. _Great, just great... -now- he finally shows up, where the -hells- has he been?_ Grimacing, the Corellian slides backwards, away from where Kuxli is receiving his care. Blast doors; he'd heard the blast doors. Maybe he can sneak the hell outta here now. And with that lofty goal in mind, he starts creeping as softly as he can manage through the brush, holstering his blaster, and hoping vehemently that what tiny noises he makes might be lost in the ambient noise. (SKILL) Han_Solo rolls a 28 for his HIDE skill. An Excellent roll! Sinjon_Teague turns to his attention to the medics who are hovering over Kuxli. He takes a preliminary look at the wounds, noticing that Kuxli appears to be fine he lets the medics do their jobs. Sinjon stands continuing to scan the foliage for something... Tidal enters the gardens from the annex.Saul rolls a 19 for his HIDE skill. Saul boosts this roll with a Character Point by 5, giving a total of 24. An Excellent roll! Tidal walks toward the garden and spots the commotion...he inches around toward the door unnoticed Lughat decides that with security swarming all over his, questions won't be answered until later...He salutes to the woman and to Sinjon, then too casually leaves the mess for the officials. He has an idea.... Lughat walks off toward the level 3 atrium. Saul shakes off what he deems a meaningless thought, then continues to look like a hawk for a chance at his escape. Kuxli groans as some of the black fades from his vision, only to feel the pain from the shot which caught him in the collar. The hands of station guards lift his heavy form up and onto the hover-bed, making it float a couple inch lower. Farther awa y the other members of the squad haul the NPC Rodian away, who struggles weakly against their grip. Tidal watches the action intently, his Macro-Goggles focusing Shannon stands out of the way and allows people to do the work they are trained to do, she ponders if she should simply head back to her apt but hesitates for the fact that having her questions unanswered nags at her. She KNOWS she saw Han, but she also believes it's a good possibility that seeing him in the foliage may be the last time she sees him again and that her questions will just have to go unanswered. Hidden in the underbrush, Solo freezes, tensing, and once more weighing his options. Although most of his instincts are screaming that he should not under any circumstances reveal himself, he risks a cautious peek out from the vines that conceal him -- back towards Shannon and Sinjon. He can hear the guards and medics beginning to clear out, but.... Sinjon_Teague eyes come back into focus as he is jostled out of the way by the medics moving Kuxli's form. Sinjon's eyes narrow for a moment his brow furrowed. He turns for a moment to Shannon, "What happened here Ma'am? The other Horansi is a friend of mine... Were there others here with you?" He turns back to scanning the garden. The guards with the miscreant hustle him quickly out from the gardens, one positioned on each side of him, dragging his feet along. The injured Horansi also is quite rapidly pushed out on the hover-bed, in tow are the three medics and station guards. Tidal watches as the guards leave and inches ever closer toward the door of the Gardens. Shannon glances at Sinjon, then to Kuxli as he gets carted off, she returns her attention back to Sinjon and shrugs, "I just followed a man in here thinking he was looking for one of my former employees, when all these weapons started going off, before I know it, everyone’s dropping like flies around here." Kuxli has apparently awoken now, the deep burn bringing a howl from his throat. Luckily they have already restrained him with straps along the hover-bed, "Sir, stay still." one of the medics says in a low, commanding tone as the other two try to ease off the bleeding...exiting through the garden doors. Sinjon_Teague nods, "What did this gentleman look like?" Sinjon seems to ask this question with half and ear listening for the answer his gaze still looking for something... (SKILL) Sinjon_Teague rolls a 16 for his PERCEPTION skill. A Good roll! (SKILL) Tidal rolls a 11 for his PERCEPTION skill. An Average roll! Tidal stands by the door and looks at the Mashi Horansi, the goggles hide the expression of surprise as he spots the silvery object hanging from the Horansi's belt. As the sounds of the guards and the medics retreat into the distance, Solo, still paused there in his new hiding place, scowls muzzily. He can still hear Shannon and Sinjon's voices -- but the question is, can he get out without them noticing? He lifts a hand, sternly orders it to Stop Shaking Dammit, and squints out through concealing greenery. Shannon laughs to herself thinking, oO (What did that guy look like?). Her brow wrinkles up slightly as she tries to recall, "He was humanoid, with.." she waves her hand up around her hair, "skin flap thingies, black skinned, loose fitting black pants with a white t-shirt". She shrugs, "I only got a glimpse of him really" Saul slowly crawls out from the underbrush that concealed him and slyly makes his way towards the practice area in the back of the gardens. He moves limberly as to keep out of anyone's field of vision, but not enough to make people notice. He makes his way to the practice area where he searches the ground with his hands for the access port to the conduit, his eyes still darting around trying to keep him hidden. Sinjon_Teague nods to Shannon while his nostrils flare picking up the scents, "I know of the gentleman you speak of. He has little love of the Rodians who have been causing problems. Where did he go? I didn't notice him when I entered." His side aches something fierce, and now, his adrenaline rush is beginning to subside. But damned if Solo's going to explain himself to anybody. Crankily, he makes another attempt to get moving, only to have one hand and one knee slide beneath him as he wobbles up to a crouch. _Move it, Solo... nice and easy..._ Right out towards those doors. He can do it.... *Snap*. It's a tiny sound, the sound of that twiglet snapping under the Corellian's tread, but in his ears, it goes off like a turbolaser blast. He freezes. Tidal comes out from hiding and joins the Horansi and human Female standing at the door of the Gardens. He comes up on Shannon's right and stands for a moment looking into the foliage. Saul with only a tiny click as it opens, the access port slides to one side allowing Saul access. He enters quickly after looking around one last time and closes the hatch behind him. He drops down into a white tube just large enough for someone about a foot shorter than Saul to stand up in. He crouches down making his way towards the fountain junction, the sounds of water falling and the muffled sounds from above his only company. Shannon gestures to the area she last heard and explosion, "I had though maybe he might of been involved with the explosion I heard over that way, but who knows what happened over there. If the medics didn't find him then I have no idea where he is". She slightly turns thinking she heard something in the vegetation, then passes it off as Tidal approaches then walks off again leaving the area. Sinjon_Teague's head comes up at the sound, his eyes narrow as he hears the slight snap of a twig. He turns to say something to Shannon but finds her glancing towards the vegetation. He turns his attention back to where the sound originated. He closes his eyes and lines of concentration appear on his forehead. Tidal makes his way toward the Core, his recorder full of video. He glances back once and disappears. Tidal walks off toward the level 3 atrium. Within the leaves and shadows, Solo crouches there sweating, flicking a hazel glance down to that freekin' twig... then out again. He pauses... then impulsively decides. _Okay, -fine-..._ With an effort, he straightens up, and as casually as he can, curls his arm about his scorched side. Perfectly natural for it to be there. And he steps forth out of the shadows. "'Bout time you showed up," he rasps out testily to Sinjon. "I was gonna leave without yah." Shannon sharply turns at the sound of Han's voice. Her eyes narrow upon him, she puts up her finger and waggles it at him, "You have some nerve Mr. Solo, getting yourself in the middle of something like that. Mind telling me just what happened back there and why I'm" she glances down at her clothing then back up continuing, "covered in filth?" somewhat oblivious that Han was actually speaking to Sinjon and not her. Sinjon_Teague grins toothily opening his eyes once again and waits until Shannon is finished with her tirade. "Glad to see you again Mr. Solo, but you weren't who I was expecting to be out for a stroll on this day. Do you know where this other being that this lovely young woman was speaking of?" Solo is significantly filthier than Shannon, dark hair rumpled, streaks of dirt and sweat across his pale features. Nevertheless, his expression seems perfectly normal, though his voice is a touch gruffer than it should be, as he informs Sinjon, "Ain't seen him since I left the bar." And to Shannon, he adds sardonically, "You're filthy, sweetheart, 'cause you were on your knees in the dirt." Sinjon_Teague sniffs the air, he peers at Han for a moment, "So now you have found me and I have found you. I had heard you were helping out on the search for the Rodians. I am ready whenever you are to take off. I just hope I am able to buy my passage back to Caspar later on." Shannon hrmps slightly and places her hands upon her hips, on her knees in the dirt indeed. She lifts her chin in a prideful manner and states, "Because of you, I found myself upon my knees wallowing in filth in that cantina back there, no less finding myself rooting around in the dirt here trying to figure out what you were running from?" she finally realizes that the two men know each other and glances back and forth, "You two know each other?" she blinks. "Yeah, me and those Rodians, had us a friendly little chat," rasps the Corellian, to the Horansi. As Shannon bursts out again, Solo rolls his eyes, turning to snap a finger around at her scoldingly. "Hey, sweetheart, _you_ wanted to come with me!" he snaps. It's Solo's right hand that comes up to thrust forth that scolding finger -- leaving the scorch on his side rather more visible, a black streak of charred blue and white cloth, and very likely charred flesh beneath. Shannon frowns at the finger being pointed at her, she gathers her most authoritative tone and says, "Excuse me Mr. Solo, you....." her eye catch a glimpse of the charred area, "My god, you need medical help" she states loosing what ever composure she had prior. Feeling herself getting slightly queasy she glances to Sinjon, "I think I'll be....." her knees go a bit week as she puts her hand to her head, "I don't feel so good" before she finds herself slowly lowering to the ground. Sinjon_Teague lets out a laugh at Solo's antics raising his paws to stave off the arguments he says, "Now, now.. Tensions are a bit high after what appears to have happened here. I think that arguing won't get anything accomplished other than feelings hurt, egos bruised, and harsh words said." Sinjon notices the wound right before Shannon points it out. "I think I can take care of this if you would like Mr. Solo...I know that it is probably just a scratch but if you wouldn't mind humoring this Horansi..." He takes Shannon’s arm and helps her to the ground, "There, there Miss. It will be fine in just a moment..." Sinjon turns back towards Han, his eyes waiting for the Corellian to answer. Lughat enters the gardens from the annex. Solo looks blank for a moment, then casts a hazel glance down to his wounded side, and he promptly barks dismissively, "I'm fine, Help her -- I'm headin' back to the Falcon, assumin' it ain't staked out." He turns to stride off, not meeting Sinjon's gaze. With Sinjon's help Shannon manages to have a softer landing then she would have otherwise. Her face drawn of color looking slightly pale, the thought of blood and an open wound simply isn't washing with her stomach too well. She tries to fan herself as the sudden rush of heat overwhelms her as she fights to contain the contents of her stomach within. Lughat steps lightly toward the group, no weapons visible and says, "dwat...", in Rodian. Having turned, Solo immediately catches sight of the returning Lughat, and his entire frame tenses, his right hand shooting to his blaster hilt. "What?" he barks, eyes narrowed. Lughat looks with concern at the woman Lughat says, "mionos twage weena beeto mionos twage changa oota. oong nree weena aontiva oong vwan tries aontiva mionos guoor, bundo...' beeto wrontaga guoor tries", in Rodian. Sinjon_Teague sighs for a moment, "She appears to be fine but you on the other hand appear to be in medical attention. What would Chewbacca think of me if I just let you walk off with a blaster wound? I think he would be rather upset with me. So please let me at least take a look at your wound." "I said I'm _fine_," Solo insists, though whether it's in answer to the Horansi or the Rodian is unclear. "I'll patch myself up on the _Falcon_. As for her" -- this, clearly, is in answer to Lughat's second question -- "sheesh, you'd think she'd never seen a blaster fight before. Get her... get her some smelling salts or somethin'." He scowls, perhaps, just perhaps, a touch awkward with the notion of fainting women. Lughat says, "voleepa ooja tweel dwat bretz vizzto ooal, vessage? gweelo goota ooal vessage gweelo vizzto wroota vessage oaol vizzto. tweel sarwra bretz goota tweel vessage gweelo.", in Rodian. Lughat looks unmenacing Han_Solo, with that, turns again, perhaps bent on getting his sweat-streaked, dirt-dusted features out of Sinjon's line of sight. "She'll be fine," he concludes gruffly. "I'll see you on the ship." He starts walking, aiming with grim determination for the exit, doing a fairly good impersonation of a man walking without any trouble. Only Lughat's words halt him, and without looking over his shoulder -- but with his hand still on his blaster -- he answers shortly, "I'm listenin'." Lughat, catching himself, rethinks and says, "wrontah tweel ooota gweelo vizzto tweel vessage queedo goota neeka ooota. gweelo goota zenta.", in Rodian. Lughat steps up to Solo and motions to the exit, determined to be friendly. (Con't with Part 3.)
